Our 4-1/2-year-old granddaughter, Willow, lives in Southwest Colorado.  At 18-months of age, she was diagnosed with GRIN1, Loss of Function.  When she turned three years old, a local school applied for and received a grant for an aide for Willow so she could go to preschool three mornings a week.  The photo above shows her bright-eyed and ready to go.  One of the activities she enjoys at school is fingerpainting.

Now that she can sit up unassisted, our sweet girl also enjoys circle time and snack time. She also loves music. The other children are wonderful about looking after her and giving affectionate support.  She is very social.

Willow enjoyed the school’s May Day celebration with the other children and liked her May Day crown.  She has captured many hearts.

Stella

We parents are trying not to ask ourselves questions about what Stella will be like when she grows up and what she will come to do, but the biggest goal is and always will be to keep her in good health and above all to always make her happy.
