Sadie’s Fundraiser – GRIN2A: DONATE
Sadie is a joyful, spirited girl whose presence brings light to those around her. As the first grandchild on both sides of the family, she has been deeply loved from the very beginning, wrapping hearts around her with ease and filling every room with her big personality and bright smile.
At just two years old, Sadie experienced her first seizure, marking the beginning of our journey for answers. What followed was a path filled with questions, appointments and moments of uncertainty – ultimately leading to the discovery that Sadie has a rare GRIN2A gene mutation. While the diagnosis introduced challenges we never anticipated, it also gave us a deeper understanding of Sadie’s unique needs and immense strength.
Imaginative and adventurous, Sadie approaches life with endless enthusiasm. She loves dressing up like Elsa from Frozen and confidently belting out “Let It Go,” proving that her voice – whether through song, laughter or determination – is meant to be heard. Whether she’s building forts, searching for monsters or cuddling on the couch, Sadie finds joy in both adventure and quiet moments.
Through every challenge, Sadie shows us what true resilience looks like. Her bravery and curiosity remind us daily that progress comes in many forms and that hope lives in even the smallest moments.
Her journey has taught us the importance of awareness, advocacy, and connection—because rare should never mean alone. By sharing Sadie’s story, we stand beside her as her parents, her advocates and her voice, believing wholeheartedly in her future and in a world where children like Sadie are better understood, supported and celebrated.
