Hunter’s Fundraiser – GRIN2B: DONATE

Hunter is our family’s favorite Bee! Hunter was diagnosed with GRIN2B around 2 years old, along with an ASD diagnosis. Hunter graduated from Lighthouse Autism Center in December of 2022 and is now in the JESSE Program at his school! Through both programs, Hunter has learned so much!

He is mostly non-verbal but still has a lot to say and is communicating with us more! He knows some sign language, will shake his head “Yes” and “No”, and uses other forms of communication!

We work with him on a lot of daily activities that many of us take for granted – like walking up and down stairs, standing from a seated position on the floor, using the potty and independently eating, just to name a few.

A few of Hunter’s favorite things are food, music, bouncing on his trampoline, fireworks and his family!

Hunter is prone to seizures but with the right medications they are less frequent.

We are so proud of Hunter, everything he’s accomplished and what we know is yet to come!

Lacey

Lacey still can’t talk yet, but me and mom can tell what she wants 9 out of 10 times with her actions or approximations. It still can be frustrating, because most of the time she doesn’t even know what she wants. But when she repeats I love you as “wub you.” it melts my heart.
