Meet AJ! All of AJs paperwork and report cards say the same thing, “AJ is such pleasant person, what a sunny personality”.
He was born in 2014 after a typical pregnancy. He was such a good baby, and a wonderful sleeper! But he was always slow to meet milestones, or didnt meet them at all, and didnt say his first words until 18 months. He was diagnosed with severe autism at 2, and he just thrived in therapy! He started walking, dancing, talking and playing. At 5 a specialist asked for genetic testing and a visit to neurology, as he started falling and running into things, but covid soon shut the world down. We had to wait until 2022 to start blood work and neurology. The diagnosis of GRIN2D came in April 2023, which suprised our Genetics specialist as they were looking for gigantism (he is 5’7 at 10 years old). AJ is a sweet sunny boy and he’s all ours. We’re happy he’s found his place in the world with his community.
