Braylon

Braylon is the definition of love! He is 8 years old with GRIN2A and has overcome many obstacles that were put in front of him.

By the age of one, Braylon was still unable to sit, walk, talk or crawl.
He was finally able to talk at age 3 1/2 and walk at age 5, after many weeks of therapy.
Although he continues therapy to keep those skills and improve, he is able to be in a regular class with assistance and pull out, to keep his social interaction intact.

He loves friends, playing video games, loves his family, and NBA basketball, with his hopes to meet Steph Curry or Lebron James one day!

He has no sense of danger, and is mentally a four year old child, but he continues to learn more everyday!

He can make you smile and he loves to talk.
I’m so thankful to be his mama!

CureGRIN Stories

Zachariah

The diagnosis of GRIN gave us opportunity to reach out and we found our “new family”, a collection of families from all over the world living the same experience. Zach found his genetic Twin and even met him in 2019. We shared experiences, stories, nightmares. We were surprised at the range and degrees of physical and intellectual disabilities across the other Grin kids and Hopeful that one day Zach could do some of these things.
