July 1 – 31, 2021

We are excited to kickoff our 2nd annual virtual physical family challenge to promote healthy lifestyles while raising money to help find therapies and cures for those living with GRIN Disorder. 

During the month of July, we encourage you to set a distance challenge of your choice: 

You don’t have to decide which distance you are aiming for when you register – just get moving and see how far you can go! The time it takes you to complete the distance does not matter, as long as you begin and complete it during July. 

You can run, hike, walk, skip or stroll either outside or stay indoors on a treadmill, all to support CureGRIN! 

How to Participate: 

Please consider supporting CureGRIN in one or more of the following ways:  

  1. Register as an Individual hereJust get out and walk or run and track your distance. Order your t-shirt and yard sign today! 
  2. Start a Virtual Team: Start your own team of family members, friends, and neighbors. Set your fundraising goal and each participant contributes to our overall goal through online peer-to-peer fundraising. 
  3. Donate: Can’t participate? Support GRIN Disorder research by donating.
  4. Register as a Fundraiser: Don’t like to walk or run? Or have no time? It’s OK. You can still support GRIN Disorder by participating as a Fundraiser.
  5. Help spread the word: Share our posts and help fundraise for an individual, a team or CureGRIN. 
  6. Sponsor a Team: CureGRIN will virtually promote your generous support to our email list that includes supporters from around the world, as well as through website recognition and social media. For more information, please contact info@curegrin.org  

Together we can reach our goal of raising $30,000 for GRIN Disorder! 

Prizes: We will be giving away CureGRIN swag (t-shirts, car decals, and more)! 

If the suggested distances are not a big enough challenge for you, we’ve got a few competitive and fun categories for you overachievers to take on: 

Be sure to share your challenge photos on your Social Media using the hashtag #GetMovingForGRIN. 

Rules and FAQs: 

All miles should be completed during July 1 – 31. 

Miles may be run or walked outside, inside on the treadmill, on street/paved routes, or trails. All recorded running/walking miles count. 

Participants should keep their own record of the distance they cover during the month (on an honor system) and submit confirmation of completion to info@curegrin.org to qualify for their certificate of achievement at the end. Suggested apps include Strava, fitbit or GPS trackers or old fashioned pen and paper. 

Individuals should cover the distance themselves; Teams can cover the distance between team members. 

Entry is open to everyone; no age limits apply.  

Participants are responsible for their own (and their children’s) safety while doing this challenge and should consider their personal fitness level.
