Patient Impact Grant
CureGRIN Continuity of Care Rare Patient Impact Program
UPDATE: Application is closed.
We are pleased to announce we have been awarded a $15,000 grant from Global Genes to provide funding to GRIN Disorder families impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.
We will be awarding grants of up to $2,500 (U.S. dollars) until the funds are depleted.
This opportunity is open to all GRIN Disorder families worldwide!
To apply you must:
- Have a child diagnosed with GRIN Disorder (changes in GRIN1, GRIN2A, GRIN2B, GRIN2D genes) on a genetic report.
- Have a qualifying financial need in one of the 4 funding categories that were designated by Global Genes:
- Patient access to distance learning support (tutoring, programs, apps, devices, equipment not covered by insurance)
- Telemedicine and career counseling resources (internet access, smart phone/tablet access)
- Basic living expenses (rent, mortgage, utilities, food, supplies)
- Transportation costs to medical appointments (includes tires)
NOTE: Funds may NOT be used for medical expenses including medical and dental bills, insurance premiums, co-payments, deductibles, medications, etc.
- Complete the application form.
- Families who have already received funding from this same grant from GRIN2B Foundation can apply but are capped at $2,500 total per household (per Global Genes guideline). For example, if you have already received $1,000 from GRIN2B Foundation’s Patient Impact Program, you can apply for an additional $1,500 from CureGRIN’s Patient Impact Program.
DEADLINE TO APPLY: Friday, August 14th
We are now accepting applications and our review committee will be reviewing them August 14th. You will be notified of the decision by August 24th.
Review Committee Process:
Your family’s privacy is important to us. Therefore, the review committee will receive de-identified applications with personal information removed. Our review committee will not see names on the applications.
